He had to completely unblock one of our down pipes, which he did without complaint, grabbing chunks of muck with his arm down the drain, soaked to the skin in the pouring rain. He went above and beyond to complete the agreed jobs. Excellent communication from start to finish... Really nice guy, totally reliable, friendly, tidy, gave lots of good advice.”- Verified Checkatrade reviewer, GU17 · Checkatrade 10/10 Common problems ## Roof Problems I See in Blackwater & Hawley ### Blocked downpipes Overflowing gutters are often caused by blocked downpipes rather than the gutter itself. ### Slipped slates Corroded fixings let slates slide, letting water in. ### Low-lying damp Areas near the Blackwater river and heathland can stay damp, encouraging moss and gutter blockages. ### Ageing felt garages Garage roofs are often due for replacement. ### Winter weather Wet, windy winters across Hampshire and Surrey find weak spots first: slipped tiles, tired flashing and blocked gutters. Getting small problems looked at in autumn avoids bigger repairs later. My process ## How a Job in Blackwater & Hawley Works - Step 1 ### Free inspection I come out, look at the roof and talk you through what I find, in plain English. - Step 2 ### Honest diagnosis I explain what's causing the problem and whether it needs a repair or a renewal. - Step 3 ### Fixed written quote One clear price for the agreed work, no day rates. If extra work turns up, I agree it with you first. - Step 4 ### The work I turn up on the agreed dates, keep you updated every day and keep the site tidy. - Step 5 ### Clear up and guarantee Rubbish is taken away, and renewals are covered by my company guarantees. ## Nearby areas From Blackwater and Hawley I also work in Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot and the wider area. ## Finding the real cause I look for the cause of the problem, not just the symptom, whether that's a blocked drain behind an overflow or failed flashing behind a damp patch. ## Keeping GU17 roofs dry Simple maintenance goes a long way here: keeping gutters and downpipes clear after autumn, and getting slipped slates or tiles fixed before winter. If you spot a problem from the ground, give me a call and I'll arrange to take a look. ## Paying and practicalities Every job in Blackwater & Hawley is priced as a fixed quote after a free inspection, and if unforeseen damage or extra work is found once the job starts, I'll show you and agree any change with you before carrying on. I hold £1 million public liability insurance, and I keep you updated on progress every day until the site is cleared. ### Nearby areas - Roofer in Farnborough → - Roofer in Fleet → - Roofer in Aldershot →All areas: Aldershot, Ash & Ash Vale, Farnborough, Farnham, Fleet, Godalming, Guildford, Odiham FAQ ## Roofing in Blackwater & Hawley: Questions ### Do you serve Blackwater and Hawley?
